Through the Targeted Brownfields Assessment Program, contractors for the USEPA completed initial Environmental Assessments (Phase 1 and Phase 2) for the Acme Power Plant site. Initial assessments confirm land impacted by hazardous substances and petroleum hydrocarbons, multiple areas of drums with unknown substances, and abandoned buildings with asbestos and lead-based paint.
