Acme site receives $325,000 EPA Assessment grant (4/2018)

EPA announced that the Acme Site was among one of 145 recipients from across the nation selected for EPA Brownfields funding. The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality, in collaboration with the Sheridan County Conservation District, will receive $325,000 to conduct a comprehensive assessment, including development of a remediation plan, for the 5.8 acre site of the former Acme Power Plant. The funds are expected to be available in the fall of 2018.

Please respect fences and adjacent landowners by not attempting to enter the site. Anyone accessing the site (legally and illegal trespassers) has the potential to track contaminants to surrounding areas and/or injure themselves amid the debris.
